After not falling in love with any engagement rings we had seen, we came into Giulians and met Gary. He took the time to talk with us and show us some black opal stones before sending us on our way to do some more shopping. My fianc and I couldnt shake the idea, so we went back later that afternoon and sat with Gary as he sketched some ideas on his notepad. We were smitten and agreed that he would craft the ring and sell it if we didnt like it. It was a long two weeks - I couldnt wait to see the finished product!Gary sent us pictures but they could not do it justice; this is an exquisite piece of jewelry. Ive had it for two weeks and have already received more compliments than I can count. Its beautifully crafted, elegant and timeless - everything we hoped for and more. Found Giulians place by accident while exploring Sydney on a short trip. And this was the best finding for me! Nice and warm service, they really listen in you and your wishes. Alice was really nice and positive! We ended up with earing from Opal for me and I couldn't resist from my long-time wish and bought also diamond earring. Was really impressed that they managed to make earing from Opal in a short time, as I was only one week in Sydney. I really love both earings and enjoy wearing them! Excellent quality and affable people working there! I know which place to visit again next time in Sydney! :)
I came into the store on a whim and was greeted by Alice. Over a couple of weeks, I was provided excellent service - no question was silly, no request too arduous. The warm and accommodating service is something that is commonly lost in retail these days, so it was with great appreciation that I was able to come across this store and Alice's service.
On my backpacking trip down the east coast of Australia I've been into several jewelers on a quest to find the perfect pair of opal earrings. This is the first and only shop where my friend and I weren't met by a snobby shop owner who didn't think I could afford a pair of genuine opal earrings. The service was great here!! I got to design my own earrings and the staff at Giulians were more than happy to accommodate all my wishes!! From my very first purchase of pearls earrings, to engagement and wedding rings and more, Gary has always provided wonderful service, and beautiful jewellery. Gary never hesitates to spend as much time as needed to help you to understand the quality of the piece, the key elements of the stone or pearl etc. And his advice has stood the test of time. I had designs in mind for all of my pieces, and he wouldn't be satisfied with them until he could see that I was not only happy but thrilled. For example, with my wedding band, he looked at it when I tried it on, and before I had said a word he said he could see it was too wide and they would continue to work on it. And they did, until it was perfect.And on top of the service, the pieces are absolutely stunning and of the highest quality.
